Holds, reservations, deposits and applications are the shelter's decision, on its own terms. Some hold a pet for a day or two, some do not hold at all, and some only see adopters in person.
What to do:
- Open the pet's page and follow the link to the shelter's own listing. Its name and contact details are there.
- Call or write to the shelter, and ask whether the pet is still there and whether it can be held.
- Ask about the fee, the routine, and what happens if it does not work out. No question is a silly one.
